Essential Travel Tips

Arrive 30–45 Minutes Early
Ferry terminals can be busy and chaotic. Arrive early, check in, and find a comfortable seat before boarding.
Bring Your Passport
Non-citizens need a valid passport to board. Tanzania nationals need a National ID. Keep it accessible.
Rough Sea Warning
The crossing can be rough, especially during rainy season. Sit in the middle of the boat for a smoother ride.
Pack Light
Luggage space is limited. Bring a carry-on for day trips, or arrange baggage storage at your hotel.
Save Your E-Ticket
Screenshot your e-ticket before departure — mobile data may be unreliable near the port.
Plan Your Onward Transport
We arrange taxi, transfer or car hire at both ends — just ask when you book your ferry!
Stay Hydrated
The crossing takes 1.5–2 hours. Bring water or buy drinks on board. Snacks are also available.
Cancellation Policy
Ferries may cancel in bad weather. We monitor departures and notify you immediately if plans change.
